Shine Bright!
Does anyone know the artist featured on the cover of this MoMA book?
MoMA’s current exhibition Tokyo 1955–1970: A New Avant-Garde provides an in-depth look at a rich period of artistic production in Tokyo. As a complement to the artworks and insights revealed in the exhibition, MoMA Talks is hosting a series of three related programs. The third program in the series, which will take place on January 11 at 7 pm, is a book launch for From Postwar to Postmodern, Art in Japan 1945-1989: Primary Documents.Come celebrate the release of this new resource by hearing insights from Japanese artists and architects, MoMA curators, and the co-editors of the book, who will engage one another in conversation during a panel discussion.
Before the program, you can learn more about the book and the exhibition in this interview with Doryun Chong, one of the co-editors of the book and the organizer of the exhibition, which was published inArt in America in October.
